going to the well

when i`m feeling stuck, before a wave of creative work i go to the well and drink up.  walks around the neighbourhood with lucid eyes, piles of magazines, revisiting old work, internet, pinternet, and imagining useful things.  woven things are more beautiful when useful rather than stored away so i made this little board to remind me of tea towels, cushion covers, rugs, scarves, patchwork, wall hangings, and little pouches.  for my own home, my next project will be a new set of handwoven cushion covers for our sofa.  i also want to hang up a set of three handwoven silver birch trees in our bedroom - a triptych to remind us of our brief dream of a life in canada, and the trees around our tiny house.
