it is always very difficult warping up a hoarded yarn - i`ve been clinging to this expensive baby alpaca yarn for almost a year dreaming of the infinite possibilites. knitting has far less trepidation for me, as i know i can always unravel whatever i knit, whenever i want, and make something entirely new. not so for weaving, i`m afraid. it doesn`t always end this way, but i was so happy with the herringbone shawl that came off this delicious warp. took forever and a day to weave, but the squishy soft mohair wool weft was a soulmate to this warp. soon, when i get my new years ducks in a row, it will be going up for sale in the shop. :D
