i wanted to use up some cumbersome yarns in a warp and tried to fancy it up a bit with some nicer yarn in the weft, so after weaving this fine-wool/mohair cloth i felted it lightly and cut it into three pieces. since it was something i was planning on throwing away, i felt brave and machine sewed it into a sort of shawl/vest.. it`s not finished yet as i`m kind of stuck on how to finish the rough edges but i like how it came together. it would be interesting to knit/crochet a hem or expand the garment that way. i like how a dissatisfying woven piece can be saved through thoughtful sewing/construction/finishing. i`ll post an update when it`s complete :D
