flashing back to our days as tiny homeowners… that river ran right through our backyard. our backyard stretched back almost to the mountain lake it spilled out of.
have you ever thought of your life as a dance, one step forward and two steps back? it is only as a dance that i can bear to think of it like this. every time it seems we try to advance ourselves, we end up further behind. today as i walk the city streets i feel the old anger rising up in me and i look to the river, to the far off snowy mountain peaks that look so cool and so calm. i feel them pounding in me, the river rushes through me. calm pours in like cool water. i can survive in this city, in asia, thanks to these mountains and these rivers. just looking at them is to heal. i dance my way home, slowly.
